SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
- Unix. Visky has run on FreeBSD, Linux, and Solaris systems.
- Tcl/Tk version 8.4 or later, available from http://www.tcl.tk. Tcl is part of most Linux distributions. To find out if it is present, enter tclsh on the command line. A new prompt should appear. Enter set tcl_version to see which version is running. If tclsh is absent or out of date, it must be installed.
- Tkgeomap version 2.9 or later, available from http://www.tkgeomap.org.
INSTALLATION
Install the application
Obtain the visky-2.7.4 tar ball. Extract the contents with a command like:
gunzip -c visky-2.7.4.tar.gz | tar -xf -
Go into the visky-2.7.4 directory and follow the instructions in the INSTALL file.
Install map data
The application does include geographic data. Download and install one or both of the following:

Once everything is installed, you should have an application named visky in your path. Consult the screenshots page for advice on how to get started.
